Customer Service. Relationship Building. In-Book Sales.

We are seeking a customer-focused Insurance Customer Service Representative who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and building long-term relationships.

This is a service-dominant position focused on supporting existing customers and delivering an exceptional customer experience. However, this is not a service-only role. The right person must be comfortable identifying customer needs, recognizing coverage gaps, and naturally pivoting service conversations into inside sales and cross-selling opportunities.

Insurance experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to develop the right person and provide guidance throughout the licensing and onboarding process.

Licensing Requirements

Insurance licensing is required for this position.

  • Property & Casualty license must be obtained prior to your Day 1 start date in the agency.

  • Life & Health license must be obtained within an established timeframe once onboarding begins.

  • Already licensed candidates are encouraged to apply.

  • Full licensing guidance, study direction, and support are provided.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide prompt, professional, and friendly service to existing customers.

  • Assist with policy changes, billing questions, renewals, coverage questions, and account updates.

  • Respond to incoming calls and follow up on customer needs.

  • Build strong relationships that support customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Conduct proactive customer outreach and policy reviews.

  • Identify coverage gaps and opportunities to better protect customers.

  • Pivot service conversations into appropriate inside sales and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Recommend additional Auto, Home, Renters, Life, and other insurance products based on customer needs.

  • Confidently ask for the business and close appropriate in-book sales opportunities.

  • Schedule appointments and follow up with customers and prospects.

  • Maintain accurate customer records and documentation.

  • Contribute to agency service, retention, and growth goals.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.

  • Friendly, professional, and confident communicator.

  • Excellent listening and problem-solving abilities.

  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.

  • Comfortable discussing insurance needs and recommending appropriate solutions.

  • Ability to transition naturally from a service conversation into a sales opportunity.

  • Willingness to cross-sell and close in-book business when a customer need is identified.

  • Coachable with a desire to learn and grow.

  • Previous customer service, insurance, account management, banking, retail, or inside sales experience preferred.

  • Ability to complete required insurance licensing.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base compensation plus performance incentives.

  • Full support and guidance through the licensing process.

  • Training and professional development.

  • Opportunity to develop insurance and inside sales skills.

  • Supportive team environment.

  • Long-term career and earning growth potential.

If you enjoy taking care of customers but also understand that great service creates opportunities to identify additional needs and provide more complete protection, we’d like to meet you.

Apply today to build a long-term career in insurance.
